Residue: DI-water soluble
Some chemicals allow for several cleaning methods - a convenience attributed to modern technological advancements and formulation upgrades.
This flux can be left on PCBs for multiple assemblies, however, if cleaning is required, all it takes to break down it's non-corrosive residue is warm DI-water under pressure 55 PSI. In basic working environment squirting from 10cc syringe would deliver a close match.
TIP: To displace DI-water more efficiently and to aid in evaporation manufacturer recommends 3:1 DI-water/Isopropanol cleaning mixture (75% DI-water/25% Isopropanol).
If DI-water method is not available, this resin-based material can be easily removed/dissolved using any available method - evaporated by hot air, removed with a swab using IPA or cleaned with solvents / ultra-sonic cleaning devices.
WARNING: Do not dilute the flux with water! Resin-based synthetic fluxes are hydrophobic just like rosin-based solder materials - do not expose any flux to water of any kind - water is a solvent and will destroy the flux! The flux itself is not water-soluble, only it's residue is water-soluble - particularly desired feature delivering assembly lines high ROI with minimum ecological impact.
